SESSIONS
FCD staff or volunteers meet families two to five times per month at times and locations (usually their homes) most
convenient for the participant household. Individualized sessions focus on the goals of that family and may include sign language
instruction, parenting education, literacy activities, information and referral, and tutoring. The emphasis is on meeting the needs
of each participant as well as the family unit, as a whole. The staff members also provide links for families to information and services
related to deafness or other issues on their support plans.
