This parent-governed group meets regularly to foster peer support, share experience and information, and act to
insure appropriate resources for D/HH youth and their families. Supervised activities that build self-esteem and cultural identity,
as well as improving signed communication skills, are provided for children during these sessions. Additional recreational activities
provide opportunities of socialization and building relationships.
Monthly meetings typically include dinner, a business meeting and a presentation for parents.
Deaf and hard of hearing parents who attend the PARENT NETWORK are a valuable resource, as they share a wealth of experiences about their own childhood and education.
