OUR STAFF

 

The FCD staff is uniquely qualified in the field of deafness, with expertise in the social, psychological and educational impact of hearing loss, Deaf Culture, American Sign Language, local resources and the needs of the residents accessing these services. An Advisory Council composed of community stakeholders drives the program and determines its service priorities. A Focus Group, comprised of FCD parent participants, takes the lead in planning and hosting parent support group activities. The FCD collaborates with the Pinellas County School Board and a number of other community/educational service providers. Operating on the principles of Neighborhood Family Centers, FCD draws on participant and community assets in building and providing services.
