SHARED READING PROJECT

Deaf and hard of hearing Tutors visit weekly in the homes to teach parents of children ages 0 to 8 the 15 Principles for successfully sharing books with their kids.

Books, videotapes, games and periodicals are available on loan to the community on hearing loss, sign language, education, technology and Deaf Culture.

LITERACY
 
A variety of literacy activities are provided throughout the year to FCD participants of all ages, based on current community interest and needs.  Because FCD families live all over Pinellas County and transportation may be an obstacle to participation, these may be stand-alone projects or services provided as a component of existing FCD activities.
